To share Timothy Minturn’s immense knowledge of stagecraft was a great privilege for my pupils and me. He worked both as a director for shows as well as with individuals in a one to one teaching situation.
As a director his superb organisation and inspired creativity led to magical shows enjoyed both by the performers themselves and the audience. His direction was
always clear and he developed great rapport with his cast. They held him in the deepest respect so appreciating his generous, professional input into their careers.
In a one to one situation he showed such empathy working with young performers to professionals.His probing questions took their understanding of the text to a far deeper level. As an onlooker I never ceased to be astounded at the wondrous results he achieved in these sessions. His positive reinforcement had the pupil owning their performance in a very satisfying way. Every session was a success.
